Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice optional
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)

Equipment

  • 1 Large skillet
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Sharp knife
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Measuring spoons
  • 1 Wooden spoon or silicone spatula

Method

  1. Pat the chicken pieces dry with paper towels and season evenly with paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chicken in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding the pan. Cook for 3–4 minutes without stirring, then flip and continue cooking until golden brown and fully cooked through.
  4. Transfer the chicken to a clean plate.
  5. Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the butter to the same skillet.
  6. Once the butter has melted, stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30–60 seconds until fragrant. Do not let the garlic brown.
  7. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss until every piece is coated in the garlic butter sauce.
  8. Stir in the chopped parsley and, if desired, add the lemon juice and crushed red pepper flakes.
  9. Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

  • Cut the chicken into even-sized pieces for even cooking.
  • Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
  • Avoid overcooking the chicken to keep it juicy.
  • Cook in batches if necessary to achieve a golden crust.
  • Fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice brighten the flavors just before serving.
